Here is some news…

Hi peeps

Lately, I have been on vacation in Israel with my family. That was just so good having some days off and being with my lovely family! After that week I went to Oxford and met up with my fellow students and teachers. We spent some days there having lectors with people like Nick Pollard and John Lennox. My days in Oxford were interesting. It was a lot of hours spent on a chair looking straight forward into the face of the teachers. But it was so good staying with ”De la cream de la cream” of youth leaders and pastors in Norway. I am amazed by all of the good hearts longing to spread God’s word out. We also had some fun when we went to London. We saw Les Miserable. I LOVE MUSICALS. And this one is one of my favourites now. And we got do to a LOT of shopping in Oxford Street and in Notting Hill. I’ve never been shopping in Notting Hill marked before, and I got very surprised. Because there a so many nice stores with good prices.

Since I’ve been back from my ”break” I have been having some days writing on my assignment only. My first assignment for my studies in now delivered. And I am very very pleased being done, not necessarily on what is on the paper.. hehe But my assignment was about how Mal communicated one of his talks. It was really interesting! I must admit I am a bit nervous when it comes to the day I’ll get my grade for it.

Next week every one but me is going away for half term (høstferie) and we have a lot of guest coming in then. So I am a bit nervous by doing all of the hosting by my self for the first time. Please pray about that every thing is going to work out the way we want it here.

One of the dreams I’ve had this dream has last the longest. For seven years this dream has been my light in the end of my tunnel. It has been one of those dreams you really have to work for. And I have been working! I spent three freaking years in music college. It has been something that I’ve been looking forward to for such a long time. Always thinking to my self, one day and soon it will be my time.

But one of the hardest things has been to see the same dream come true for some of my closest friends. I have always been very excited and been supportive for them. But I have never told them that my jealousy almost put out the fire in my heart. The fire that I believe God put in there for a reason, to pursuit this dream. I have never been so close but yet so far from this dream for the last two years. I don’t know what else to do then pray about it. So, I cry out to The Lord to take the dream away if it isn’t His will, or make it stronger if it is. And in the times I’ve almost giving up, the fire in my heart burst into flames. That is a very strange thing I haven’t been able to work out with God lately. Because I don’t see any thing happening with my dream, but still He doesn’t want me to give up. I just don’t get it!

I left Stavanger to pursuit Gods will. I left my dream job, my dream church, and my beloved friends and to come to a lovely family and team @ Wick. I fear that my dream is now out of reach since I left Norway. But God’s love makes it worth it all. He knows what the best is for me. I believe He sees what lies ahead and there is something good for those who wait. But don’t believe for a second that it doesn’t hurt or it is easy. Because it does hurt and it sure isn’t easy to watch your closest friends flying high on skies of dreams coming true! But in my darkest and weakest moments God has never been so close and comforting too me as He has been the last year. So, His love makes it worth it all!

Maybe this dream will never come true to me, but that is OKAY. Because I know God has many, many, awesome and exciting things for me to do and experience! And I do have many other dreams too

Now , I finaly have the time to write some more.. =) yesterday we were all busy with cleaning Wick.. We were about 12 people and were cleaning for about 3 hours and we still were not done.. Maybe that says something aoutthe size of the house =) (hihi) But I am so happy about staying at Wick with the Calladines.. They love me and I love them I should also mention that a girl from Germany  who’s name is Mirjam and is my age has been staying with me at Wick but now she’s moved in with the Woods family ( Andy, Debbie, Sam and Adam).

The kids club went off well!! It’s amazing to see how God touches the little ones What we did in kids club was hearing about Jonah and the whale story, playing games, making art stuff and worship! I had a great time getting to know more about the community in Pucklechurch and the people in it! <3

When kids club ended we went to Devon, Croyd to camp, surf and getting to know more people in the Church Next network. We did shopping, eating, throwing up (well, that was just me.. I got food poisoning), freezing, worshiping, walking on the beach and being in the sea..

After the horrible but wonderful camping weekend experience we went back to Wick to get ready for our new daily lives which included the children in the Calladine family started school and Mal and I started working in the office. What Mal and the team here are now working on is finding a rhythm of how to pursuit the vision they have here for Church Next and Wick Court more! It is really exciting!

What else I am doing here is studying… I don’t understand much yet so please pray that I’ll get what I’m supposed to get and learn…

Shopping… I spent two hours @ Topshop the other day and I still I don’t know if I can say that was fun?!? But I lO0O0O0O0Ove Cabot Cirques! The outdoors but still indoors shopping centre has cinemas, all kinds of food shops,  all kinds of coffee shops and all kinds of other shops..

And back to the title of  this post :

Hi folks!

I’m sorry I haven’t been very good @ updating my blog… but my life just has been crazy these last months! Some highlights of my summer : working  <3, Impuls Lista, vacation in Stavanger, a weekend @ home with my parents and friends, a week in Oslo with friends, and a week @ school with friends and now moving to England.. crazy times!!

school is pretty hard…I have a lot to read up on and write about..

And England started off good.. When I landed in Brussels I had to get driven in a car and run thru all the end of the airport to catch my new flight (praise God that I made it! I had been praying so hard that I’d make my next flight even though the cabin crew said I wouldn’t, hallelujah!) and when I finally landed in Bristol.. Mal had forgotten the time of when he was picking me up so I had to wait about for an hour.. crazy Mal.. And now I’m staying @ wick Court with the Calladines.. I love it! =) They made my birthday awesome! It’s so wonderful… They know about 200 different birthday-songs.. and they sung to me to every meal we had during the day.. <3

This week we’ve been doing the kids-club in Pukkachurch. It’s been so much fun! =) The theme was Jonah in the whale ( and pirates).. =)

Tomorrow we’re going surfing! I can’t wait =)
